I saw Jason McCourty was talking about this yesterday of how bad a lot of defenses were in week one and how preseason and not playing in preseason, in his opinion, is a big reason why that's happening.

it is i do think that i think the pressure of knowing that i can get my guys hurt if i don't play well in this third preseason game is is removed at this point because even in the joint practices there's a whistle before you hit the quarterback yeah there is there's a big difference and i don't know if we saw anybody take the opposing team down to the ground in joint practices

Week one is when it really matters, and that's why I thought this past weekend everything that we saw happen in camp would be amplified, and it wasn't.

That was the disheartening part of it.
