And well done to Jason Doyle, first rider in modern history to complete the Korea Grand Slam.

And what the hell happened to Poland? Only in Speedway.

So, yeah, I don't see why it couldn't be done, to be

honest.

It's interesting you mentioned as well Jason Doyle, the first rider in the modern era to complete the Grand Slam.

So can anybody tell me who the last one to do it was? Ooh, I'll put that out there.

Yeah, the start made all the difference, didn't it? Especially when you consider the back end of the meeting where it all got a little bit tighter.

Of course, a few thrills and spills among there as well with Smarslik and the incident with Mikkel Mikkelsen and also Charles Wright with Jason Doyle as well and Jason Doyle getting excluded.

These things could have skewed that meeting and turned the eventual outcome on its head potentially and depending on how things went in the subsequent heats.

Yes, I think that that incident with Mickelson was one that I think he reacted in the way he did because he realised that the World Cup was slipping away.

But whether he reflects on that or not, I think he looked really pleased to have done it.

And Australia were deserved winners.

I think especially for Jason Doyle as well, having come back again from injury.

He had a really bad shoulder injury after that crash at Kings Lynn where he went over the fence.

Even if it's just, um, that the engine starts up there, "All right, no worries.

Right, it's right to bring down here." And then we do some finish off, and then that week before winter spec it'll be down at Jason's and, and running most days, I'd say.

Yeah, right.

Their plan is to run it most days.

Won, won all first four.

And, um, yeah, so they're fucking killing it.

Uh, the, the bloke from the Hunter Valley, Jason Doyle, he, um, he's the first guy to do the Modern Grand Slam, which is win both the teams events, so the Speedway-

that's Brady Kurtz, Jason Doyle, Ryan Douglas, Max Frick, and Rowan Tongate was the reserve rider.

Didn't actually get a ride, but picks up the medallion anyway.

Good on you, Rowan.

And the team, of course, has to be honoured.

And of course, the team manager was Mark Lemon.

But what this really means, and as you so aptly described, it's the first time since 2002 that Australia has won the World Cup, the World Team Cup for Speedway Bike Racing.

Then Jack Young from South Australia, 1951-52, at Wembley Stadium.

Of course, we have Jason Crump, 2004, 2006, 2009.

Chris Holder, 2012, and Jason Doyle, 2017.

So our history in this event is absolutely magnificent.

For Denmark, it's Mikkel Mikkelsen, Leon Madsen, Michael Jepsen Jensen, Anders Thompson and Frederick Jakobsen.

And for the Australians, Ryan Douglas, Brady Kurtz, Jason Doyle, Max Frick and Rowan Tungate.

I mean, you've got to say that's a strong-looking Australian side.

They always seem to pull it out of the bag a little bit on team events as well.
