I do think Syracuse offense, excuse me, Syracuse's defense is solid.

They're going to have an opportunity to get multiple sacks throughout the year in games, but as far as Cal's offense, You know, it's a big question mark because you would assume that JKS would have came in and been lighting ACC on fire.

And I know it's still extremely early in the year.

We are not overreacting to this.

And again, they won the game.

But you just do expect to see a bit more cleaner process and really just more yards.

I think that's an area where, you know, I would say, hey, look, go into some games, especially the next couple, as it's still early in the season for JKS, right, and let them throw it 50 times if they have to, just to work it out.

You know, I know Adam Muhammad is still – Playing well at running back for Cal, but I think for them to get going and to really get into a rhythm, just keep throwing it.

He'd be 2028 draft eligible.

So JKS, Keylon,

not going to say Underwood because that'd be ridiculous.

But that group, that group of quarterbacks that we're talking about, he'd be in that range, right? So that's who you guys are kind of thinking of.

They really struggle to run the ball.

I think JKS has been wildly inefficient throwing the ball.

He's been putting the ball in danger.

a lot and it didn't cost him as much today, obviously as it did against UCLA a week ago, but he made some real questionable decisions throwing the ball today that did not get intercepted.

This was supposed to be playmakers everywhere, right? We got some great running backs.

We got a lot of talent at receiver.

We got JKS at quarterback.

This offense is going to be one of the top three or four offenses in the ACC is what everybody was saying coming into the year.

And it just kills you when your defense is playing so well, they're doing their job.

Yeah, on JKS.

Special teams, you know, give up a touchdown, and you're just like, oh, no.

Like, this is not good.

Yeah,

and really no running game to speak of from either team.

And JKS is interesting.

I know how much the football guys, Jimbo, you, love JKS.

I think I literally wrote in the preview [laughs] that 'Cuse's quarterback had thrown, like, three interceptions in his career, and Cal's QB had 11 interceptions last year.

And everybody loves JKS.

I like JKS.

But he just, like, makes mistakes.

Yeah.

And instead, the Syracuse QB threw four picks, including a pick six to lose the game.

And JKS never turned it over.

They weren't perfect, but they allowed 14 points themselves, one of which was on a short field.

So Syracuse in this game against Cap, They let them go down the field against a talented quarterback, JKS.

They went down the field against this defense one time.

That's it.

And Dante Bocchie, the second-year tight end for Syracuse, had himself some bright moments, four catches, 73 yards, and a touchdown.

Okay, maybe you can build off that as well.

And you can also build off the defense, which had themselves a very, very good performance against Cal and their talented quarterback, JKS.

But before Syracuse can even worry, About their matchup against Pitt and everything that they can do and their quarterback and their defense and whatever and their special teams.

The big positive was Syracuse's defense and how they performed on Saturday.

They held Cal with a very talented quarterback, JKS, to less than 250 total yards of offense, just 67 yards rushing on 2.6 yards of carry, so that's very impressive.

My only critique for the defense with how they performed on Saturday is they did not force a turnover, which could have significantly helped Syracuse football, maybe given them more of a short field to operate with, but That's nitpicking.

The fact that Cal only went down the field on this defense one time the entire game, there's not much negatives that you can say about how the defense performed other than, well, they didn't force a turnover.
