Janiva Magness

I'm talking about 2021's Covered Tracks Volume 2 from Eric Johanson.

Now, I've had some incredible moments on stage and around musicians and music lovers, and sometimes the encounter is unexpected, such as when Janiva Magness asked me seconds before she went on stage to introduce her.

I was attending a concert at the county fair where a Marshall Tucker Band opened for Charlie Daniels.

During the Marshall Tucker Band concert, the lead singer, Doug Gray, ment- motioned to my young son to come up on stage and bring me with him.
