She's the founding director of the Munk School, and, uh, she's been a trusted analyst and advisor for me for years, back to the 1980s was the first time we, uh, worked together.

Great to see you, Rudyard, and what a summer.

I am hard pushed to think about one peaceful day.

Uh, I know our audience did.

We got a lot of emails asking when you'd be back, so great to be back here on September 11th of all days, where we mark an important anniversary, and that may color and touch a little bit of our conversation as we try to catch up, if we can, in a half an hour or so on, as you say, a very tumultuous summer.

I've got to begin though, Janice, with the trade war because this-

I love live theater and fresh garden tomatoes.

We all miss the crew of The Bridge over the summer, especially Janice Stein.

Hey, it's good to be back.

[laughs] I suffered from The Bridge-related no new episode syndrome.

Now that new episodes are finally here, I'm recovering beautifully.
