[laughs] Ah, that was Janet Weiss, right? She was a virgin until Tim Cur- or sorry, Frank-N-Furter got his hands on her.

Uh, I also meant, uh, I was gonna do another song for you, and you tell me this, you gotta tell me where this came from.

Um, I got, I've got 90...

And when Tucker joined forces with Brownstein in 94, it felt like a collision of two punk powerhouses that instantly demanded attention.

They brought drummer Janet Weiss into the mix, creating an oddball lineup where two guitars bickered for the front while Tucker's voice sang wails that sounded like an angry chorus against conformity.

This dynamic would define Sleater, Kenny's first studio recording.

Their self-titled EP, released through K Records in 95, captured that rawness.

So this is a fully realized song, but it's still quite short.

They actually brought in Janet Weiss from Slater Kinney for a one-off guest appearance on drums.

And you can kind of feel sort of a different energy coming from the rhythm section.

It's kind of, there's frantic old school guitar work.

And so I hit up Sam Coombs.

A lot of people might know Sam from Quasi, a long running band of his with Janet Weiss.

Yeah.

And Sam, somebody I've, you know, been running into for years on the scene, you know, and it was an old old friend, an acquaintance, maybe.

... afterwards because, like, I don't want to put her on blast, but once I tell you who it is, you'll, like think, "Oh, yeah, that makes sense."

It's not Janet Weiss of Sleater Kinney.

[laughs] It is not, no. It's, uh, it's, uh, someone from, uh, not...

It's someone from the '70s and '80s.

You know, kind of like getting my girlfriend to go to the arcade to shoot pool instead of the new Hugh Grant movie.

But, you know, much like Janet Weiss, eventually Copilot caved in.

They cajoled Copilot out of undocumented parameters that were in there.

And then they used those parameters to inject prompts.
