But we wanna see that joy, and that's why we're fighting every day to make sure that they have safe schools and everything that they need to grow up safe, happy, and healthy.

In reaction to the shooting at Bend's Silver Rail Elementary, Oregon Congresswoman Janelle Bynum's campaign this afternoon announcing that she is halting all campaign activity and will focus on supporting Bend.

Senator Ron Wyden writes, quote, My heart goes out to the innocent victims of today's horrific shooting at Silver Rail Elementary School and their loved ones now facing the awful consequences of yet another school shooting in America.

It's devastating and our hearts go out to this community and we ask our community to really work together and come together at this time.

We've done over 25 town halls.

Out of their list, the Fairshake network has so far spent the most on Republicans Bill Huizenga of Michigan, where they spent one point five million dollars, and French Hill of Arkansas, where they spent one point four million dollars.

It has spent around one million dollars apiece supporting Brian Steil, a Republican from Wisconsin, Janelle Bynum, a Democrat from Oregon, Derek Tran, a Democrat from California, and Steven Horsford, a Democrat from Nevada, and five hundred twelve thousand dollars each on Josh Gottheimer, a Democrat from New Jersey, and Pete Aguilar, a Democrat of California.

Most of the other endorsed candidates have so far received around seventy-five thousand dollars each from the network.

Some of the biggest checks went to members who chair the committees with jurisdiction over crypto, including Hill on Financial Services and Steil on the Digital Asset Subcommittee.

Again, what difference does that law make? Have we ever heard a story in which there was a would-be shooter who had planned on shooting up a school, but then did not because, "Well, I, I looked it up and there was a law that said I couldn't have the weapon loaded while on school grounds"? Have we ever heard of a scenario like that? Krantz warned the investigation into the suit- shooting will be long, and there has been an outpouring of grief among officials, of course.

Democrat Representative Janelle Bynum said, "Our kids are getting shredded." Telling CNN's Anderson Cooper, "The most heartbreaking thing as the details have surfaced is that we have a child involved in the killing of other children." Now, how old...

Uh, so the shooter is 16 years old.

Uh, so, uh, Tina Kotek, the Oregon governor, thanked the community, thanked the community member who heroically intervened to stop further loss of life, but said, "No one should have to live through this kind of day." Now, that's a good first step for a governor of a blue state, to put praise where praise is due.
