The other thing that I read for this was The Tragedy of Heterosexuality by Jane Ward, who has an entire chapter about why men love bitches, He's Just Not That Into You, and Think Like a Man, Act Like a Man.
Peter ShamshiriHOST

And, like, Jane Ward has some interesting stuff about this narrative where it seems like the man is in control, but you're secretly pulling the strings behind the scenes.

Blythe RobersonGUEST
41:42
yes yeah it reminded me of this book the tragedy of heterosexuality by jane ward which she was a woman who had dated men but is now dating women and she was like if we are to believe that women that dating men is so bad but women choose to do it why are we not seeing the desire and like the an explanation of how it feels to be so attracted to men to want men to physically so much that you're willing to put up with it and I feel like we did not see that with the Lee Pace at least for me I like it it just didn't feel like oh of course you would like go back to this well that has killed two people right

yeah but there was one the only truly hot part of this movie to me which is in my letterboxd review is that when he was still paralyzed and we were seeing him through like very quick glimpses through the door my boyfriend like saw his naked body and was like that's leap pace and i was like how do you know that's leap pace What content are you consuming? Yeah, I was like, it's really hot to me that you know what Lee Pace looks like naked and far away.
