Jane Glover

Musically speaking, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is in an amazing place right now.

Not only is their music director Robert Spano one of the most respected people on the podium worldwide, but their principal guest conductor, Dame Jane Glover, has a legendary career that goes back 50 years in Europe and America.

Jane Glover, who was named Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2021, is back this weekend to conduct one of the most distinctive programs in the fall North Texas art season.

The first half of the concert is rooted in poetry.

The second half is one of the ultimate musical trips to the great outdoors.

The music that will start the concert was composed by Missy Mazzoli, who is the talk of the music world, having just enjoyed a major premiere at New York's Metropolitan Opera.

Here is Dame Jane Glover to tell you about Missy Mazzoli.

Yeah, Missy Mazzoli.
