Jane Castor

They, they include, as you mentioned, Bern's, uh, uh, Steak House, uh, and, uh, the owners of The Epicurian Hotel, and then, uh, the owners of several other, uh, restaurants, uh, uh, that are owned by the Ciccio, uh, Restaurant Group.

And, um, it's Mayor Jane Castor who's, who's named in the lawsuit, others as well? Tell me more about that.

If you're listening to The Good Government Show for the first time, welcome.

I've talked to many of the Climate Mayor members, so go back and listen to conversations with mayors like Lauren McLean of Boise, Barbara Buffaloe of Columbus, Jane Castro of Tampa, and Regina Romero of Tucson.

In all of those shows, we talk about some of the programs and projects in their city that are making for a cleaner and more environmentally friendly city.

Also, and I can't help myself anymore, we talk about trees.

And I just have to mention this, your president is Lauren McLean.

She's the mayor of Boise.

Uh, Justin Bibb, the mayor of Cleveland, and, uh, Barbara Buffalo, the mayor of Columbus, Missouri, uh, are three people, uh, I, among others I've had on the show, Jane Castor from Tampa as well.

You know, quite a great group of really dynamic mayors.

She had another Castor that was her sister.

Got Jane Castor, which isn't related, but still, I'm Castor'd out.

On this Columbus Day-

And I'm, and Gus Bilirakis is out too These people that have been here like 30 years, let's get them out of there

It is.

You know? I mean, they, I, I heard the mayor, uh, Jane Castor, talk about the number of tires that have been removed.

Mm-hmm.

I mean, it's unbelievable how many are around.

Um, not only was I surveilled by feds, I was also surveilled by the city of Tampa.

Um, I was surveilled under, uh, Buckhorn and Jane Castor.

Mm.

Okay? Um, my husband, who is a military guy, you know, former military, retired veteran with a top secret security clearance, he would tell me that I was being surveilled.

First up, though, the local news.

Tampa officials were celebrating the Rays' playoff berth yesterday with Mayor Jane Castor helping put a big blue banner up on the side of a city building.

It's the team's first playoff appearance since 2023.

Firefighter Macho Barrios was there for the banner unveiling.

Uh, this is their first appearance in the postseason since 2023.

Mayor Jane Castor led the way in dropping a banner from the municipal office building and raising a Rays flags over Old City Hall, and she's throwing down some words, you guys.

So what does it mean, uh, besides all of the recognition, the hard work, everything that went into being at the top of the American League? Well, it means they get to take a break while the Yankees and the Red Sox wear each other out in the first round.

Yeah, that's, uh, they're gonna take on the winner of the Yankees-Red Sox wildcard series, with game one set for Saturday at Tropicana Field.
