Ah.

And, um, as I was, uh, learning about these gardens, I realized that there was really, there was a, a very little information, uh, a- as far as books or, uh, other types of information about the gardens.

Uh-huh.

And eventually it really grew into an obsession with him.

And, uh, he was also...

He was an engineer, and he was inspired by all these technological advances that were going on at the time.

I think you should get on their case.

Yeah, yeah.

And actually, you know, what I found was that there really weren't any up-to-date books about gardens of the Gilded Age.

That really was not a topic that other authors had explored.

I did find some books that dated back to, I believe, like the 1990s, 1980s, around there.

And I, you know, my interest in this period was sparked... really way, you know, when I first was writing the garden travel guides, because some of them are from that period.

And as I was writing the travel guides, I really try to include something about the history of the garden, as well as something about the founders of the gardens, because I really feel that that gives you a greater appreciation when you visit the garden.
