sorry i just have to pause to tell this story because it's one of my favorite things um craig ferguson came over to the edinburgh fringe one year to do his uh to do like a talk show and my mother came over that year and she wanted to go see craig ferguson so we got tickets and his guest was Jan Ravens.

And my mom was like, I wanna go see her show.

And I said, yeah, no problem.

I want to see it.

I got tickets to see Jan on my mother's birthday.

And she's not done a ton of acting.

It's a candid, funny and often revealing memoir about fame, love, survival and simply refusing to disappear.

The book is narrated by Jan Ravens, but is introduced by Amanda herself.

I lived my whole life with dyslexia, and while I have managed to learn quite a few scripts in my time, reading an entire book out loud, that is just absolutely impossible.

It would probably take me the next 90 years, and I think the crew would have left by then.
