I think as a young kid, I grew up in Eastfield.

Most of my friends are from Easton or St. Paul.

So I grew up in an area where crime was there and drugs were there.

And most of my friends that I still go home when I go back to Bristol are still in the same places.

You did get promoted then, didn't you? Was it the next season afterwards?

Yeah.

The whole experience, I said, it was amazing.

I mean, I should have broke in a lot sooner, a hundred percent, I think, but because of my off the field and my training antics, I wasn't overly a professional.

So between the four of us that were in, I was the last one to break in.

Like you'd broke in Darren and Addy at all sort of broke in.

My first experience was into Milan where I think someone went down injured.

I'd played in the, i could drop down i played in the youth cup for the youth team we played coventry i think away from home i scored and then i got told i'm flying out to milan so i flew out to milan sat on the bench so that was my first real experience which was unbelievable i was 18 then and then it would have been everton at home i think again i would have been training scoring goals I was always scoring goals in the reserves constantly.

You know, it really shows your strength of character, you know, when you get through them tough times, it makes you realise how strong you are and what you can actually go on and achieve.

Mm.

Scored goals from the moment I was playing sort of in the streets all the way through.

Probably link play wasn't great and other bits and bobs, but you give me a chance, I'll score a goal.

And yeah, I think now even going into coaching and stuff, it's very loads of touches of the ball, skills, all of this stuff.

I'm a bit like, I love watching Haaland at the moment.
