Start from the beginning
10:35
... go back, and then we can talk about some of the fundamentals of what it means to breathe, breathe well.
10:39
So my mind tends to work in sort of diagrams, and, and the way that breath and breathwork has been laid out for me as a framework and the way that I teach it and approach it is really looking at the breath is the, is the title and kind of the main character.
10:54
Within that we have breathwork, which is the Western, mostly Western formulation of the breath.
11:01
It's kind of the packaging in which we put the breath in to make it palatable, marketable, sellable in a lot of cases.
11:08
And so it's, okay, what is breathwork as a modality? Within that, we have this spectrum.
11:14
Uh, I've always liked to speak about full spectrum breathwork, which is at one end we have the micro, which is the day-to-day.

24:42
Um, but how can breathwork, I guess, help in those two ways of in acute moments of stress, but then also more in chronic stress, and how we hopefully build our resilience to that?
28:15
And then as it gets a little bit more technical, like what does that look like? What are the outcomes? What are the experiences? Can you walk us through the landscape?
28:22
For sure.
28:23
Yeah, absolutely.
28:24
So I often speak to both this idea of the pyramid, but also this kind of spectrum.
28:29
So spectrum flowing from micro at one end through to macro at the other end.
28:34
And so, which gives me weird kind of flashbacks to studying economics and microeconomics and macroeconomics.
28:40
So I haven't thought about that for a while, but yeah.

6 MINS LATER

What can someone who's never heard of this and they're listening and they're like, what's breath and consciousness and like journeys and like what? What's going on? Can you walk through that? Right.
