James Taylor Quartet

two in a row from Acid Jazz Records.

The James Taylor Quartet.

Keep the dream alive.

Good to see Lancey's getting into the Friday Night Queer.

Good stuff, mate.

Great time.

James Taylor Quartet, Keep the Dream Alive.

Just had a couple of messages with Dunk, seen him a few times over the years, and one of the biggest concerts I saw of theirs was at the Island in Ilford, back in about 94, 95.

And jaw-dropping live performances throughout.

James Taylor Quartet were mind blowing.

And then we had the all star band, Paul Weller, Kevin Rowland endless legendary musicians and The New Guard on vocals.

Misha Paris's daughter Russia blowing the roof off [upbeat music] And Paul Weller's daughter Leah Weller doing the same alongside Lisa Moore is doing an incredible Stones cover.

...

James Taylor Quartet.

All of their stuff has been remixed-

Yeah

You're listening to Tony Damon, Boltonraidersbroadcast.com and the Jazz Session, and I played out the first hour with Pat Metheny, followed by the Count Neil Cowley Trio, and I'm gonna continue now with some, I suppose, quite funky jazz.

Firstly from Freddie Hubbard, then the James Taylor Quartet.

[funk jazz music]

[funk jazz music][on-hold jazz music]

What a couple of stonkingly funky jazz tracks.

Freddie Hubbard from Straight Life in 1970 and "Mr.

Clean," and that was followed by, uh, from the album A Few Useful Tips about Living Underground in 1996, the James Taylor Quartet and the track "It's Your World." Now though, I'm diving back into the past, um, to the '20s and then into the '60s, firstly with Jelly Roll Morton, then Fleetwood Mac featuring Peter Green.

We took some acid.

Music by the James Taylor Quartet with their reading of a Marvin Gaye classic, After the Dance.

It features Omar on vocals, James Taylor Hammond, B3 organ, Nigel Price on guitar, Andrew McKinney bass, Adam Betts on bass.

Now, Acid Jazz is a mixture of jazz, funk, soul, and hip-hop.

And the James Taylor Quartet was formed in 1985 in the United Kingdom.

And before that, you heard music from my main man, John Coltrane.

And the name of the cut is entitled, Every Time We Say Goodbye.
