James Tabor

That story is a lie.

The truth is that the church split into the Jerusalem church under the leadership of Jesus' brother, James, and the church at Antioch under the leadership of Greek-speaking Jews, influenced by the apostle Paul.

The twelve apostles never taught Paul.

They never ordained him to be an apostle.

He ended up hijacking the movement.

writing most of the New Testament, and influenced the writings of Mark, Luke, and especially John.

Only the Gospel of Matthew and the Epistle of James escaped most of the heresy of Paul, although Orthodox editors did corrupt some readings in Matthew later on.

It was the Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts that is responsible for the great cover-up.

And typically that transformation is angelification.

And again, this is, I think, and I think that other people like James Tabor and other people would agree with me, that this is what Paul imagines happens to Jesus.

Jesus is transformed into a kind of angel-like being, and the angel-like being he's transformed into is a kind of lesser God.

Or rather, that angel-like being that existed as a lesser God is transmuted into a human being and eventually returns.

Yes, but what if there is a higher power than you and I that speaks to an individual? If there is a God in this universe, and there's the laws of man, and there's the laws of God, and this God that has led him all his life says to him to wait, what do you do?

When the FBI said that five times Koresh promised to come out and didn't, Dr. Arnold, Dr. Tabor, and I sent a message to them.

We said, "Show us the five times." We can't find them in the negotiation transcripts.

We think they're making that up.
