What are the big differences between being an analyst and being a coach
5:18
specifically? Look, I've been on the coaching journey now the last seven years, so kind of stepped away from the full-time analysis role in 2019.

So I've still had kind of a lot of different experiences at all levels of football in terms of a coaching aspect.

To be honest, the differences, I don't know if there's obviously nuances within them, but as an analyst, the head coach leans on you a lot, particularly from obviously a tactical, technical perspective.

So there's a lot of kind of lessons that I learned in those positions in the various environments that I was in that I've kind of still lent on now and throughout my coaching career.

Obviously, there's the...

the human side of coaching that's more prevalent than there is from the analysis side so you're dealing with more often you're dealing with people and players and not just their life at football but their life away from the game as well and building those relationships which I love that part of the job as well so both I guess the analysis side of it have kind of got me into a position whereby it's given me that groundwork and that base in terms of a football perspective.
