James Ransone

Like I don't understand how that's the same funds, but like make it make sense.

Like, [laughs] um, I, [laughs] I-- So Deputy So-and-So, James Ransone, um, if I'm saying that right.

Mm-hmm.

It might be Ranson.

Yeah.

And now it is time, ladies and gentlemen, for our main event of the evening, 2012's Sinister, directed by Scott Derrickson and starring Juliet Rylance, Fred Thompson, Vincent D'Onofrio, James Ransone, and Ethan Hawke as Ellison Oswalt.

So Ellison is his first name.

Oswalt's his last name.

He doesn't go to the police like he should.

He wants to solve it himself 'cause he wants fucking fame and notoriety and money, everything that comes with it.

James Ransone, Ransone, correct? Is that how it's pronounced, his last name? Plays the deputy that's trying to help him out.

May he rest in peace again, as we stated earlier.

Yeah.

And honestly, at this present time in the year of our Lord 2026, I don't want a sinister anything if James Ransone isn't involved, which unfortunately now he cannot be.

Correct.

So that kind of, in my mind, casts a pall over that whole thing.

I'm pretty sure they did it for her, though.

They omitted my friend, sadly, who passed away in December, the great James Ransone, great actor who played Ziggy Sabatka on The Wire, was on Generation Kill, Treme, Bosh, Poker Face.

So what the hell? I mean, just like at least 100 episodes of television and they just didn't include him.

It's a bummer.

...

James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Isaiah Mustafa, Jay Ryan, James Ransone, Andy Bean, and Bill Skarsgård.

It's available on HBO Max and Prime to rent or buy.

Quite the cast there, Brian.

I do like this part 'cause this is cool.

It's like you're getting the cl- the, the crew back- Mm-hmm ... to, to battle this big evil.

I think especially Bill Hader and James Ransone work so well off of each other.

Yes, agreed.

Oh, damn.

They did get James Ransone back for the final act of the movie.

It is the original brother of the grabber from the first movie.

He passed away two months after the theatrical release of the movie.

That's

horrible.

And James Ransone is a magnificent actor.

You know him from Sinister, another Scott Derrickson movie.

Like I heard like Bobby didn't regale them with this story of his adventures with Michael.

And then Detective Ransone mentioned the taking of dispatch from 314.

So which was also written by Nadia Bossman or co-written.

I have another one.

And then, I think something that Han you picked up a lot with in the last few episodes is this idea, especially with 409 with Chimney.

It's the lucky unlucky kind of tension here because at the very end and I didn't pick up on this on the first watch.

But at the very end, when Ransone and Athena are looking on to Tracy, who is reunited with her mother in the hospital, Ransone says they really got lucky finding Tracy just in time, especially because the suspect had probably done the same to at least two other girls.

And then Athena is like, I don't think she feels so lucky right now because she had just gone through an ordeal, you know? So, like, lucky that they found her, unlucky that it happened at all.
