SamGUEST
7:49
Jed Wallace, we lost our captain.
SamGUEST
7:50
So there was going to be a big change and then we were given the job to James Morrison, his first managerial job.
SamGUEST
7:56
So there's a lot of pressure.
SamGUEST
7:58
on the side and a lot of youth came in.
SamGUEST
11:56
So I do believe that will be the kind of the one maybe systematic change we will see.
SamGUEST
12:01
But bar that, I'd like to think all the players that performed, because of how good that performance was against West Ham, I'd like to think we'd stay in that same team and stay with the same formation.
SamGUEST
12:12
But that's the thing with James Morrison and the thing that I've got to trust him.
SamGUEST
12:16
Every time he has chopped and changed, every time he does make those, whether it's a system change or player change, it has worked out.
Ali MaxwellHOST
9:40
That's West Brom's 3-1 win at West Ham at the London Stadium.
Ali MaxwellHOST
9:45
Let's give Morrison and Horn Mirror and West Brom plenty of credit, but then we're also going to try and take a look at what's not working at West Ham, why they've had a poor few weeks, how they solve it if they want to get automatic promotion.
Ali MaxwellHOST
9:59
George, it was 3-1 to West Brom, some really nice goals scored in this game from Baggies and having lost... narrowly in two derby games to Wolves and to Birmingham.
Ali MaxwellHOST
10:10
They've since gone three wins and one draw from that last four.

10 MINS LATER

George ElekHOST
20:19
They are generally forward thinking, relatively young, possession hungry players.
George ElekHOST
20:25
managers who like to play an extensive attacking style and so I think if they were to go out and get that you'd probably be able to get a better tune out of a lot of the players they've got at the moment so yeah if I was a West Ham fan I would 100% want him to be sacked but I think I probably would have wanted him to be sacked in May
Ali MaxwellHOST
20:39
and let's just revisit quickly combination play between Horn Mirror and Jimmy J Morgan for both of their individual goals Jimmy J with the really nicely disguised and very composed ball across for Horn Mirror's goal and the little cushion pass for Jimmy J to find space and fire home his goal I think with James Morrison there's lots to be excited about here still learning as a young manager, as he has every right to, showing lots of good qualities, I'd say.
Ali MaxwellHOST
21:07
The man management stuff looks pretty good to me.
Nathan SaltHOST
32:52
Kim Helbig, he's never been out of the championship.
Nathan SaltHOST
32:55
Who else is up there? West Brom right now is James Morrison.
Nathan SaltHOST
32:59
He's never been promoted out of the championship.
Nathan SaltHOST
33:02
They believe in what they're doing.
George SmithHOST
7:01
They were absolutely fabulous.
George SmithHOST
7:02
James Morrison described it as a complete performance.
George SmithHOST
7:05
Everything that he wanted to see was replicated out on the pitch.
George SmithHOST
7:08
So you can't take anything away from the Baggies.
George SmithHOST
7:36
And since then, they've responded with 10 points in the last four.
George SmithHOST
7:39
So it's been a really good return and it's shown a good reaction.
George SmithHOST
7:43
And for James Morrison, obviously you and I sat here in the summer when we did our 1-24s, sort of plotting West Brom blind almost because we just didn't know what we were going to get.
George SmithHOST
7:53
Because obviously they'd done so well towards the end of last season with James Morrison in an interim role.
Hugh WoozencroftHOST
13:22
But he's been there, done it, got the t-shirt, so give him a little bit of patience, I think.
Hugh WoozencroftHOST
13:26
West Brom, one of your old teammates, James Morrison, of course, your former club as well.
Hugh WoozencroftHOST
13:30
What do you make of him as a manager? you expect it he's started really really well he's a
Liam RidgewellGUEST
13:36
silent assassin i would say the boy he's a great great great lad and uh he's done a fantastic job of just going in there and you know what he's he's very placid very calm steadied the ship obviously i've had a few managers go in there and it's been a bit indifferent he's what he's gone in there and watched it and recognized what they need and he looks like he's steadied the ship and put the players in the right positions to do what they should be doing within them positions it sounds easy It's not easy.
Hugh WoozencroftHOST
14:15
Yeah, yeah.
Hugh WoozencroftHOST
14:15
Excellent for the Baggies this weekend.
Hugh WoozencroftHOST
14:18
And their boss, James Morrison, climbing the table.
Hugh WoozencroftHOST
14:20
Very competitive at the start of this campaign.
Jimmy SmithHOST
112:44
to come on.
Jimmy SmithHOST
112:45
James Morrison.
Jimmy SmithHOST
112:47
You
LeeHOST
112:48
give me
TomHOST
2:49
We are going to talk a lot about Middlesbrough, I would imagine, as part of this.
TomHOST
2:52
So I'm going to throw to James to talk a little bit about Charlton, because I know that's going to make me happy.
JamesHOST
2:59
Yeah, I just sort of dug up the tweet from earlier in the season where I was getting absolute dogs abuse from Charlton fans saying, I don't know what I'm talking about because I didn't think Nathan Jones was that good of a manager.
JamesHOST
3:07
I didn't think they'd do very well this year.
TomHOST
4:38
No win since August.
TomHOST
4:40
Keelan, Adam, anyone else want to touch on Charlton before we start talking about Borough?
AdamHOST
4:46
Nothing other than it's what we expected at the start of the season, which James sort of already mentioned there.
AdamHOST
4:52
I actually don't think they're too bad defensively, but I just don't think they're going to score enough goals to threaten teams.
Matt WattsHOST
7:38
I wanted to shout out West Brom as well because they've now won three out of four since losing those back-to-back derbies against Wolves and against Birmingham.
Matt WattsHOST
7:46
So massive credit to James Morrison and to the Baggies.
Matt WattsHOST
7:50
But yeah, the home form is a real concern for West Ham right now.
Lucas YeomansHOST
7:55
Certainly is.
Ray HuntHOST
60:02
And the top assistor is Jimmy J. Morgan, as well, with four.
Ray HuntHOST
60:06
The manager is ex-baggy James Morrison.
Ray HuntHOST
60:08
And what a great job he's done, by the way.
Ray HuntHOST
60:10
Two caretaker stints, but was given the permanent role in April after steering them to safety.
Benjamin BloomHOST
27:43
But yeah, West Brom, decent.
Benjamin BloomHOST
27:46
The market realigned in the same way I did actually when it was like, no, James Morrison's actually good.
Benjamin BloomHOST
27:51
Isaac Price is going to keep playing well all season rather than just for a couple of months.
Benjamin BloomHOST
27:55
And yeah, they've got some star power and some threat up there.
