And what is more possible and plausible is for NATO countries to closer cooperate with Ukraine with the view to findings and beginning mass production of interceptors that will allow us to deal with this new threat of jet power drones.

So how influential is the Institute for the Study of War, which released the report? I've been speaking to our diplomatic correspondent, James Landale, who's in Kyiv.

This institute is a respected body.

It's nonpartisan.

The Nigerian businessman Aliko Dangote is Africa's richest man, with an estimated net worth of around $35 billion.

Now he's launched Africa's largest-ever share sale with the initial public offering of his oil refinery.

This is pretty significant because this is the biggest public share sale that Africa has ever seen.

Ukrainian rail officials say a Russian drone struck a train near the border with Poland today shortly after several visiting officials, including from the UK and the US, had passed through that station.

Russia is escalating its conflict with Ukraine, and its new tactics involve targeting trains and border crossings.

Early this morning, a special train was heading west, carrying VIPs home from a high-level conference in Kyiv.

Some passengers had been evacuated from trains, and there were no reports of casualties.

Ukraine's rail operator said it was quite likely Russia had targeted the diplomatic train because it had left the station earlier than planned.

State-run media in Iran say an Iranian commercial vessel has been struck off Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz.

There is absolutely no justification for that.

James, I mean, I'm surprised this is new, to be honest, 'cause I thought the Russians have been attacking energy targets for, you know, a long time.

Well, it's a time of war in Ukraine, but cultural life still goes on.

The head of the British Armed Forces, Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Naughton, has said that half a million Russian soldiers have now been killed in action in Ukraine since twenty twenty-two.

Every day, Ukraine's armed forces publish a list of Russian losses.

That now estimates more than one and a half million Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded since the full-scale invasion.

There was a brief pause in attacks over the weekend while US envoys were in the Ukrainian capital, but in recent weeks, Russia's round-the-clock attacks with new, faster drones have forced people to head for shelter many times a day.
