James Hoye

Ashby threw a third strike, and the question was whether Diaz actually swung.

Home plate umpire Jim Wolfe initially did not think he did, but catcher William Contreras immediately appealed to first base, and first base umpire James Hoye ruled that Diaz went around.

Strike three, game over.

Brewers win, and half of America lost its mind.

That's out number two.

And then Teoscar Hernandez, I thought it was a horrible call by the first base umpire, James Hoye, saying that Teoscar Hernandez did swing when he clearly checked his swing.

That should not have been strike three, and that was the golden opportunity in the fifth inning for the Dodgers, and they come up empty, and they eventually lose three to two.
