James Cameron

I think it might have just been the headline that day or a particular picture.

That day, there was a column in the paper by a man called James Cameron.

And I started buying the newspaper every Tuesday because I figured out that that's when James Cameron wrote his columns.

And James, at the age of 14, opened the world up to me.

And I had a very strong sense of the world being much bigger than South London because I knew my father had moved from India to Pakistan, Pakistan to Nairobi, and then London.

So when I graduated, I did not know what I wanted to do.

Somebody had told me that in order to become a a print journalist, which is what I wanted to be.

You know, James Cameron was my hero at the time, right? They said, the only way you're going to get into newspapers is if you do one of, at the time, so we're talking 1985 I graduated, two courses that are offered as postgrad journalism courses.
