Jake Shimabukuro

I think the one that sticks out as an adult was a really important concert because it's the last like really cool event my mom got to go to.

I drove down to pick her up and we went and saw Jake Shimabukuro, who is an ridiculously amazing ukulele player from Hawaii.

I knew you would know them because, yeah, your family's into string instruments.

So he is absolutely amazing.

Have

you ever heard the name Jake Shimabukuro? No.

Oh my gosh.

You need to look up Jake Shimabukuro.

Okay.

He is, well, we just talked with Tommy Emanuel, who I think may be the best guitar player on the planet.

Friday night at Blaisdell, New York jazz pianist Makoto Ozone performs Rhapsody in Blue, the greatest roar of the roaring 20s.

Ozone, by the way, was an early mentor to Jake Shimabukuro.

In the same concert, Dane Lamb and the symphony give you Mahler's Titanic First Symphony.
