So like, when are we going to dive into this? Jake Scott.

I, I just got to say that the, again, it's, it's sometimes hard to understand the relative scale of these numbers and I'm getting so sick of the ASMFC having the same problem, where in the last meeting, the cut that was proposed as an option at the end of the slides there was a 20% or what the TC is going to evaluate for this fall meeting.

The cuts on the table were only down to 20%.

They included a 20% increase.

In reality, it's going to take more than a 30% cut, which was added to the list of options.

But we're still looking at it.

We would need at least a 40% cut to get to where the technical committee wants and hopefully where ASMFC wants the fishery to be, which is fishing mortality at the target.

And then the next thing we're going to go to is the ocean tax.

Jake, what are you seeing out there in the surf, buddy? Are they solely, if you find the bunker, you find the bass, right?

Yeah, well, it might be the time for me to confess that I got a little toy skiff, so I'm not always in the surf in the middle of the night.

But I have not seen any bunker, and it's all a herring bite, even though there's plenty of little sand eels and other baits around.

But reflecting on the time in Long Island has been interesting because... four to five years ago was pretty much the peak of the bunker bite in early spring.

And that would be Western Long Island well into the Raritan Bay in New Jersey.

But I think those fish were just easier to catch.

And as that bunker population dropped off and everybody has their theories, but I don't think it was the netters.

Jake, especially since you have your My first skiff boat and you're seeing, you know, you've got,

okay 29 today and like just getting right to the point you're going up against like the big dogs Nike Adidas and disrupting the market right disrupting working with soccer players where did you even think of the idea to be like I'm gonna get into football boots and

It's a great question.

So we started this journey when I was 19, actually.

So I went to high school.

I didn't do any further education after that.

I came sort of straight out of that.

But whilst I was at school, I used to buy and sell football boots.
