They couldn't beat Cincinnati with a backup quarterback.

Okay? Jake Browning.

It was a bad call on Travis Hunter.

I'm aware of that.

We had the Bengals in the opener last year.

We had them in week five when Joe had gotten hurt and Jake Browning was a quarterback when they were playing Detroit, it was a different team.

And I think this team this year has a lot of the pieces you need because, again, I don't know that the Bengals need to have a top-10 defense.

Put the Bengals with a mid-range defense, and if the offense stays healthy, this team's as good as anybody in the AFC this year.

It is loud in that building.

Yeah, there's no doubt.

Jake Browning found that out as a member of the Bengals last year.

You're the man, Brad.

But we get a lot of reps at it.

You know, when Jake Browning was doing what he was doing, he took 10,000 reps in PE class before he took a single snap on a Friday night.

You know what I mean?

And I learned the value of that.

Maybe that's why Jake Browning's stool's on the roster.

And so you're gonna do stuff like that.

But it was a really weird 2-0.

Like, Joe Burrow got injured the second game, and Jake Browning somehow won the game.

Oh, you're right.

Yeah.

That's fair.

But Greg, I'm going to push back just a little bit.

Some of those games were with a person who is near and dear to our hearts and yours, Mr. Jake Browning.

So Jake Browning was the quarterback and you guys had him for a little bit and you cut him in weeks.

It's too little too late.

And last year they started 2-0, but then Jake Browning had to come in for Joe Burrow, and the same can be said for any NFL team.

If you lose your starting quarterback, you're gonna be hard-pressed to fill up that win column, and that's what happened with the, with the Cincinnati Bengals.

So it, it doesn't feel like this is it for Joe Burrow, but it feels like this might be his best opportunity to win in a pretty wide open AFC.

The Buccaneers have now won five straight season openers, while just the complete opposite with Joe Burrow and these Bengals, and even before Burrow, right? Over the first two weeks of a season since this team has hired Zac Taylor as their head coach, they're three and 11, and that was with two wins coming last year.

Again, that one-point win against the Browns, that close win against the Jaguars in week two with Jake Browning throwing three interceptions.

It's just never pretty for these Bengals to start the year.

And yeah, I do expect this Bengals defense to be better than they were last year.
