Jairus Byrd

So we'll see what he can provide.

Not everyone's going to be Jairus Byrd.

Jairus came in his rookie year, drafted in, like, what, 08, 09, and put in, like, nine interceptions his rookie year? Like, that was...

Still thinking about Jairus.

Here's some of the names of the guys he coached, for, for all you guys out there who might not remember.

Keith Lewis, his senior year, and that led into Jairus Byrd, Patrick Chung, Walter Thurmond, TJ Ward, which for me, that quad is still the greatest defensive secondary in the history of the program maybe.

I mean, there might be some others before them, the Molden years maybe, the, the, uh, Wheaton years, I don't know.

But that four, some four guys in the NFL.

Um, and, and it was interesting how players, quite a few of them were, were looking at ways to make things easier, you know? And it was like, it's, it, it wasn't working, and groups were kinda getting mad at each other.

"Your group doesn't do this, and your group doesn't do that." And there were some personal things.

And, um, in my book, I, I, I was, I saw Coach Belotti right here and Jairus Byrd right there, and when Jairus stood up and told Mike, "Hey, you're not here for us," and I'm looking at Mike, Mike turned, really got flushed.

Wow.
