So were you drawn to him as a coach, Jen, or the track club specifically or flag staff? What went into your decision making to wind up there and with them?

Yeah.

So last summer, I actually visited Flagstaff just to come train solo for six weeks.

And I really fell in love with Flagstaff.

And I knew that if I had the opportunity as a professional to come down here to train, I would 100% do that.

And I started talking with Terrence back in November of 2025 at NCAA Cross Country Nationals.

That's kind of where I first met him.

Is it, is this course long? Like what's going on? What point, at what point did you become aware that the course was long? Yeah.

Was it what you expected from the distance aside from the extra 700 meters? Was it what you were hoping for time-wise, pace-wise? What's the overall kind of grade that you'd give yourself on this pro debut and half marathon debut?

Yeah, I'd say overall, it was definitely like a plus type of day.

I mean, you can't go wrong with winning your first national title.

In terms of the race, it definitely played out a little bit different than I expected.

I didn't.

expect to be solo kind of from the start.

I did think that maybe a couple women would come with me for a while.

And what do you think is behind this kind of breakthrough that you're in the midst of right now?
