Jaden Philogene

Been a tough couple of weeks for him, but hopefully a good opportunity.

Jaden Philogene, uh, Gary O'Neil said he's fit to start again.

Came off the bench over the weekend, so I'd imagine that he'll get the nod over Maida and Clark just to build up a, a bit of match fitness.

And then up top, bit of a debate there because Gary O'Neil loves Chuba Akpom.

You know, he's not, he's not, not in the team to be an attacker.

You've got Jack Clarke, Maeda, Jaden Philogene.

They can all be attacking.

He's in the team defensively.

So Jack Taylor's the only one who's confirmed is out, but they recovered two players this week.

Uh, Jaden Philogene and Mata Sewa are both back in training.

Philogene's ready to start.

What's the latest from Ipswich?

They're still without, uh, Jaden Philogene, uh, Matsuura, and Taylor.

Mm-hmm.

But Emerson is fine.

Ugarte is out, Balibo is out, and Heaton has a knock.

Ipswich Town, uh, no Philogene, no Matesiwa, no Taylor, but they are hopeful that Florentino will be good to play.

Looks like Enciso's good to go as well, which is good news.

So is this an opportunity to see what he can do in the 10? Then you're looking at Sindra, and obviously Sindra wants to develop as a number 10, but with, again, you're looking at the options that they've got on that right side with Abdoul Fatu.

If you take him out of the equation, then you've got Kasey McAtee, and you've then got probably Sindra that you'd be looking at.

Yeah, I mean, Ross mentions this as one of the best chances that Ipswich will get to win at Old Trafford.

I mean, it was handed to them on a silver platter last time.

That was Kieran McKenna's way of using him.

Philogene would start games, Clarke would come off the bench and finish them, and he ended the season as Ipswich's top goal scorer and was probably part of the re- well, was definitely part of the reason why they kicked on through that running and got themselves promoted to the Premier League.

Now, we know that earlier on in the summer that there was definitely, again, Boro interest.

Boro had tried to see what this move could possibly look like, and then things have changed at Ipswich this summer.

They have got players in there in that position already.

They've signed D- uh, Denzel Maeda from Celtic, who's played off that left-hand side.

It came out last week that Jaden Philogene looks to be staying at Ipswich in this transfer window, which obviously adds another body in there and a player that they maybe didn't expect to have.

From what I've read on the, the forums and on Ipswich's side of social media, it sounded like Jaden Philogene's agent was simply throwing things out to try and get interest in his client, and there hasn't been too much, so he'll just have to settle for playing Premier League football every week.

So it depends how disciplined they're going to be, but I do think they will come out at us early and then probably play quite a counter-attacking style.

There's a good chance that Jack Clark will probably start on the left, um, unless one of the new signings do, Maeda perhaps, 'cause, um, Jaden Philogene's only played his first game of preseason last week in a game against Union Berlin.
