You know, I met folks like Jade Begay, who has a show called Jaded, which is a part of this group called Indigenous House, which is, there's an amazing group amazing network of indigenous creatives who are creating tv and film things that you might have heard of reservation dogs and things that you haven't maybe heard of like for instance my dear friend joey cliffs his new book that just came out and he has an amazing show on comedy central that he's a part of and all of these wonderful things that they're spotlighting in hollywood and beyond and jade is in new mexico and was sharing the story of coming up with her own show and what that's like to talk about the world today and how jaded we feel which is a play off of her own name and how we can just not just be pollyanna about everything but also be real about the struggles of what you know an activist or an advocate or a creator goes through much of like what you do on your show you know which is very similar like there's a real nest yet so yeah you know if you go to these states and you really spend time and you not only understand their stories and you you see them in a more nuanced way but we we also i think feel less fearful of people that we don't know or understand that's definitely what i felt too you know like going to places and meeting people that maybe I had some true anxiety and fear about, right? Whether it was towards them or towards what their actions might do for our country.

That's like, you don't even have to think about that one again, unless you're becoming like a plastics radical.
Leah C. StokesGUEST

But again, if you want to be plastics person, which I fully support, go up the system, man, change the laws because otherwise there's just plastic everywhere.
