Jacob Calvin Meyer

And I am very curious if that messaging changes at all from what we saw throughout this summer, uh, compared to the last month heading into next year.

And Matt, I want to follow up is that throughout the season, and you know, this happens all throughout baseball in terms of reunions, but throughout the season, you saw the respect that Craig Albernaz has demanded throughout his entire career with reunions that he just had on the field with players that he coached, either with the Guardians or a lot of former Rays that are now spread across all of baseball and the moments that they were able to uh express and you know embrace on the field you see the impact that he's had on many different players and you know the relationship that they still possess up to this day so you know he's a good communicator you know that he can he's he's had a successful track record in terms of player development and being able to set the standard it's just now that he is again it's uh you know our colleague jacob calvin meyer liking the manager of a um uh baseball team almost like the uh what am i trying to say to the uh uh speaker secretary yes press secretary at the the white house was his uh analogy um that that's certainly true but just because they they speak twice a day uh basically every single game outside of sundays and they are the face uh the voice of the team in the the public eye so if you're going to do it uh you just have to to treat it the same way uh for every single player again i'm a very big fan of how vocal he is it's just continuing to do that across the board.

And maybe we see Gunnar Henderson being more accountable if his manager tests him in that way.

You never know.

We've seen how he's been able to overcome adversity.

Mike Elias said that, you know, one of the lowest points of his life and in his playing career.

And, you know, Jacob Calvin Meyer did a wonderful story on how Trevor was able to rebound from that point and even this season when he gets into a rut and for him to be able to fight back and end the season strong.

So, We know he's got it in him.

Little mistakes.

Uh, Jacob Calvin Meyer, um, I had to give him crap earlier today because he ruined my Friday morning.

But he went into and he looked for, you know, okay, I want to – he said, working on a story to find losses that cost the Orioles a playoff spot.

I went through every loss to find games they either should have won or ones in which they made a major blunder that cost them the game.
