Jackie Fox

Now, this artist got her start in the '70s in a very influential band of teenage girls called The Runaways.

The Runaways had the likes of Sandy West, Jackie Fox, Joan Jett, Cherry Curry, and this artist, Lita Ford.

Lita eventually went out on her own, and in the early '80s, she didn't have anything that popped.

Then, lo and behold, Mick Smiley wrote a song called Kiss Me Deadly.

This is the band's debut album and was released May 17th, 1976 on Mercury Records.

The personnel on this album is Jackie Fox on bass and vocals, Sandy West on drums and vocals, Lita Ford on guitar, Joan Jett on guitar and vocals, and Cherie Curie on vocals.

The album was produced by Kim Fowley.

And we have an uncredited bass player on the record, Nigel Harrison.

Probably because she wasn't on any records.

There was a series of bassists who joined.

First, we have Peggy Foster, who only lasted two weeks before she is then replaced by Jackie Foxx.

And Jackie Fox was discovered by Rodney on the Rock.

And then also too, the band isn't accurate.

And so that really bothered me because we don't get any Jackie Fox.

She famously said she didn't want anything to do with the movie.

So they kind of make up this amalgamation character called Robin Robbins that's supposed to be the bassist, Jackie Fox.

And so that bothered me.

because I was like, you know, this isn't the lineup.

Her mom was a famous actress, and you get a little bit of Tatum O'Neal as her mom, but I would have liked to have seen more of that story.

So yeah, I feel like this one was hard for me on an accuracy level.
