Help us get to know him a little bit.
4:22
So Sebastian's my firstborn.
4:24
He came, I always tease because I always said he was born, he was two minutes, two hours late.
4:29
He was born on his due date, came out, I think running, you know, he started running when he was 10 months old, blonde hair, blue eyed.
4:38
And I was just like, are you sure I gave birth to you? Because I had dark hair.
4:41
And I was like, I know I gave birth to you.
4:45
My husband's blonde, so the genes are there, you know.

44:23
Why is that such a complicated topic, and how can churches do better?
19:41
I know you don't own any horses, but I saw you just rode the other day.
19:45
I did.
19:46
So I am much older now and I've got two kids that I didn't have then, but they're all the way up in the high school, 14 and 12.
19:55
So I am living my best dance mom life, which actually bears a lot of similarities to the horse show world in terms of how that runs.
20:03
We're having a lot of fun with that.
20:05
I've got one kid doing marching band and track.
20:08
and busy with a lot of church stuff.
21:55
And so you're doing marketing now for horse businesses or all businesses or what?
9:43
And so If you could walk us through the fee structures, either flat fee, percentage-based, hourly, what have you learned over time and does it vary based on industry? Does your corporate versus your non-profit change? What does that look like?
9:57
Oh, this has been the lesson that I keep learning.
10:01
Like every project, every few years, right? Because every client is different.
10:06
And until you get into the rhythm of having a multi-year client and you're like, okay, I know how that works.
10:11
I know how that works.
10:13
I personally love a flat fee because...
10:18
I it's the onus is on me to like do the heavy lifting and think about like each component of the work and how much it would cost.

17:17
But how did working with bringing on that fractional fractional role kind of change how you think about pricing and profit?
5:00
Who was he and how do you want people to remember him?
5:04
So that's a great question.
5:05
And I have a chapter in my book, it's called More Than a Statistic.
5:09
And because when Sebastian died by suicide, he became one of like, at that time, 44,000 people in the United States that had died by suicide.
5:19
And it just bothered me that I wanted people to know that he was more than just something that he had done.
5:25
And so I started thinking about it and writing.
5:28
And it was hard at the beginning because I had forgotten about who he was because I was so enmeshed in the fact of what he had done and what he had done to me.

12:58
How has all of that or has it reshaped or impacted your understanding of loss, of compassion and of care?
