From influencer Jackie Aina saying the brand lacked genuine representation, all the way to claims that Huda's product launch ideas weren't as original as they seemed.

Then, Huda finally admitted a harsh reality.

Building a brand, having a baby, breaking into makeup, and scaling a company all at once was more than she was actually ready for and could reasonably handle.

Popular creators like Jackie Aina and Tati Westbrook posted tours of their custom walk-in closets filled to the brim with the designer bags and shoes, and showcased entire rooms dedicated to their expansive makeup collections.

Excess was the expectation, and the content was seen as aspirational by audiences that were coming of age.

But in 2020, the economy began rapidly shifting in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Disgusting.

And then he previously called creator Jackie Aina an irrelevant rat.

Which is fair to her.

On the one hand, I do feel like I want to interact with brands that feel like they kind of know how to talk to me.

I think that's one of the reasons, you know, Jackie Aina's brand, Forever Mood.

I don't even wear fragrance, but I have purchased Forever Mood fragrance, partially because I love her and I want to support her, but also because I do feel like their marketing skills It feels like it's sort of in conversation with you.

And I do like that.

Because Tarte Cosmetics has been dragged maybe once or twice every year since, what, 2014? It's crazy.

I remember years ago, Jackie Aina and Alyssa Ashley did a video.

This is when they were deep into their makeup bag on YouTube.
