The character of Rama in The Raid also has a very direct mission of what he's trying to accomplish, and he simply fights his way up level by level of the building in which he's trying to take down a drug cartel.

Jack Traven, Keanu Reeves' character in Speed from 1984, also is single-minded at saving as many people as he can on that speeding bus.

Keanu Reeves continues that same type of driven character in John Wick, with the first film falling in 2014 and subsequent sequels as well.
