Jack Reynolds

He got past midfield into Tennessee territory.

Was tackled by Jimmy Hahn, the middle guard, and Jack Reynolds, the left linebacker.

And the ball's on the 46-yard line of Tennessee.

We have a guessing contest going on here.

The ball goes to Schatz.

He is stopped momentarily at about the 23.

Breaks the tackle, goes across the 20, is downed on approximately the 17 or 18-yard line by Dick Williams, the left tackle for Tennessee, and Jack Reynolds, the left linebacker.

And that was a takeoff on the last play.

And so he came in and really was trying to reinvent that organization.

And he ended up He ended up in free agency picking up a linebacker named Jack Hacksaw Reynolds.

Hacksaw Reynolds was a he was a vet, 10 year vet of the NFL.

And a lot of people thought he was over the hill.

But Bill had remembered him from, you know, just watching years of film and seeing him play defensive football, loved his intensity, his passion, his effort and everything.

He actually got the nickname Hacksaw, one of the greatest nicknames in football history, by the way, because he was playing at the University of Tennessee.

and uh he was so upset they lost a game that knocked him out of the sec championship that he went to kmart bought 20 hacksaw blades and proceeded to saw this car in half i think it was like at his fraternity's lot or something like that he saw the car in half and so he got the nickname hacksaw and deservedly so because he was a kind of a psychopath but bill i think intuitively knew that he needed to bring in somebody who had the right kind of crazy.

We talk about the right kind of crazy, the obsession, the passion that everybody kind of laughs at, but then it also ends up being infectious.
