Jack O'Neill

Uh, yeah, Boreanaz.

Um, I think the same thing of Jack O'Neill from Stargate SG-1.

He's kind of originally portrayed as, like, he's this hard military guy, but he's also very intelligent, and you learn that as you watch more of the series.

You get to know more details about these characters that are not one-dimensional.

Right, okay.

Because then they kind of established that, remember, because in the ancients in the future, all of their technology is designed to only use ancient DNA, which some humans do have that, a.k.a. Jack O'Neill and Shepard.

Yeah, what are they called? The ATA gene.

Yeah.

He's like, I didn't.

And I was so sure that exact same situation happened on Stargate SG-1 where Jack O'Neill shot at Colonel Mayborn and didn't know

which one was the real one.

Look

An Air Force base or something surrounded by interrogators, you know, trying to ask questions again.

And then the second thing is, I bet that there was an off-screen conversation again between General O'Neill and Colonel Young about, you know, damn it, Young.

How did this happen? We can't be using these stones if you're going to get my people here killed and yours killed.

I'm sure that Young got read the riot act again because what's he going to say? Well, I let the guy out.

So Midboss once again shows up as the final challenger.

He always leaves.

You could see, I'm not saying that works with the constructs of the episode, but you could see how you could do it.

I mean, that sounds a lot like Window of Opportunity, a Stargate SG-1 episode where they're stuck in a time loop and it keeps opening and one of them, a guy, pushes a door into Teal'c as he arrives and Colonel O'Neill is eating Froot Loops and being asked a question and he doesn't remember what the question is and that is very funny.

That is brilliant.

Could have done with more of that in this episode.

Obviously, we know the high profile players that they have at their disposal.

And you saw that in the opening half with, like, two monster individual scores, two pointers from Jack and from Paul, Jack O'Neill and Paul Conroy.

And Paul's in particular was just outrageous.

Like, he was almost in a standing position and he let fly.

And even prior to that, you probably saw small signs of it just after halftime.

Game went a lot more even, you know, two points apiece.

Jack O'Neill gets two.

Then Grugan and Colloran gets one and you're thinking, OK, this is going to be a bit more even here.

Stargate SG-1, yes, but the original Stargate, no. That's America.

That was Colonel O'Neill.

Okay, we're going to adapt, improvise, and overcome, and I'm going to nuke you,

which is awesome.
