Jack McInerney

So a lot to get into and we'll kick things off talking about two big name players that signed to the league this week.

First of all, Supra, the new boys in Montreal, signed Jack McInerney.

34 years old now, bit of a journeyman the last few years.

He did spend two years with the Impact in 2014 and 15.

It's whether he can get up to speed in time.

But he's not the only big name player.

34-year-old Jack McInerney has been joined by 33-year-old Lucas Cavallini, who has signed for Forge.

It's like the Jack McInerney, Tanner Tessmann thing, right? Like these are obviously really talented players who have been sold for multiple millions of dollars, um, to teams in, in pretty good leagues.

Um, they need the situation around them to, uh, to be right for them to, to show their best.

And my concern with Adre Mamedi is there are few clubs in the world that create the right situation around a guy who's gonna be ball dominant but limited defensively at that particular position.

So they've got two more windows and four more subs.

Thomas Leboeuf, Omar El-Kalkouli, Zachary Fernandez, Safwani Malah, and the newcomer, the American Jack McInerney, who spent eight years at MLS with Philadelphia, Columbus, Portland, LA Galaxy, and, of course, Montreal as well.

which I guess qualifies him to play for Supra, and they're all Quebec-based team.

I think we're just surprised that this is as busy as last year, right? I mean, busier to an extent and more marquee clubs, perhaps, but this was spread out over a few days, whereas I felt like last year in those last 72 hours that was a total scramble and what there was like 13 national team players that had moved so kind of a different different tier and some some fringe guys and you know extend that to potentially Zach Brogyard coming to the CPL then yeah that makes that list considerably longer but man it's exciting and as I said last week it's great for business so no complaints from me boys glad we can share it together and talk all about it together
