And so I was reading, I think when she accepted the Golden Globe for Sound of Music, she's like, thank you to Mr. Jack Warner for making this whole podcast.

And this is where you go, like, after Jack Warner... who was the producer of this movie, by the way, Jack Warner coerced him to write a film called Mission to Moscow in 1943.

All of that about the hornblows admit I was not my fault.

By this time, she was Warner Brothers' top female musical comedian.

She'd wrangled a nice raise from Jack Warner, and she was given a much upgraded dressing room suite at the studio.

It was like an apartment with a large living room equipped with a fireplace, a kitchen, and two bedrooms.

With Joan's exciting new relationship with actor Dick Powell, which fans could see together on the silver screen and off on the pages of Photoplay and Modern Screen magazines, she became a hot item for Hollywood gossip columnists to gab about.
