Well, jazz is one of those incredible things where it's this endless well of music that you can explore.

There's just so much there.

And I think it can be intimidating for people, jazz music, because it seems like this high intellectual art.

You just got to start.

You just got to start diving in.

And I mean, I have this incredible opportunity with the podcast to speak to people like Ravi Coltrane.

What else would you recommend? What two or three albums do you recommend people listen to?

Yeah

... pandemic.

And I had taken my background in making YouTube videos and what Casey did and kinda doing some journalism at CNN, and I was like, I just like this type of storytelling, not so much focused on me, but focused on other stuff that I'm experiencing, sort of short documentaries.

And then we decided, we started working with this other guy, Henry, on one of those GoFundMe projects, and we were like, had a great collaborative spirit with him, and we said, "Let's the three of us get together, keep making commercial work, and then on the side we'll make original shows." And this is right around the time that YouTube Shorts comes out and Instagram Reels comes out.

TikTok was dominating.

And so I just felt like there's a great opportunity here to basically make one piece of content, and you get three spins at the wheel on these three different platforms, and they're all sort of competing for the same stuff.

If we make shows that are vertical for these platforms that we can make every single day, I think we'll be able to grow an audience, which is something that we saw happen when TikTok first started, something we saw happen when Snapchat launched.

remember hearing the news reporters down there saying, there's a strange virus coming in from China.

And when I flew back through Korea, I was like, the airports, it was strange.

And I was like, is this just like an Asian thing that they're a little bit more aware of these? Because they had so much more experience with bird flu and stuff.

And I was like, this is weird.

And then when I got back to the States, it was like a week later, the world shut down.

But anyway, we had worked together and then that started and neither of us had a job.

What was that about? Did that change things for you? Were you looking for a change or was it something that just felt like a right move?

Playing under Andy as well, like you only have to be in a dark room when he bro- he lights it up, isn't it? Like, he gives everyone that excitement, and I would imagine then the longer the year goes on and the more time he's had with you, even within that condensed period, you can see his, I suppose, DNA over the side more and more every week.

Um, yeah, you're right.

You've kind of hit the nail on the head there, to be honest.

Like, his character and his energy is infectious, and then his love for the game and how much he puts into it is also infectious, so it kind of feeds into us as a playing group.

So yeah, really enjoying working with Andy.

I worked with him with the under 20s, um, six years ago now, and like that, so I've that relationship with him since then.

But yeah, really enjoying the year with him and all the lads in the, the management team.

You got a couple of scores before halftime, and then that phenomenal second half, and maybe that's what we reference there as well, that kind of growth and that spur on and that foot down mentality.

How do you go about the next two weeks? Preparation-wise, is anything going to change? It's a big event at the same time, you're probably still in that system.

It is yeah but I was saying that like it's we're fortunate that it's kind of the same break between games it has been all year so the two-week gap we're kind of used to it now like training schedule won't change and then you kind of organize your days around training as it is so nothing much will change from that regard you know we just get to train and do our bit probably four or five sessions between now and then so yeah it's great you know training kind of it fills your time.

The homework now on Kerry over the next two weeks I suppose will be intense enough in terms of trying to get every little dot crossed or T's crossed and I's dotted.

Yeah it will for sure and no doubt they'll be doing the same for us but like it's the same for every game like every National League game you're analysing your opponents as a defender I might be looking at certain forwards movements and stuff like that so you know it's good like you're not just doing it because it's a final you're doing it consistently throughout the year so with that there's kind of that familiarity.

I try and play something really easy to warm them up and say, like, "This isn't a test.

I don't wanna throw you off.

Like, let's just have fun with this." And then once they start smiling and getting into it, it's just that feeling of like, "Oh my God, I forgot about this song.

I love this song." It's like when you're in the car, and you have the aux cord.
