But then he spent the next fucking 15 years suing everybody because they couldn't recognize his fucking greatness.

Of everybody that's ever had a gripe about how they've been treated or screwed on money or whatever in a wrestling business, Jim Wilson wasn't one of them.

I saw Gene Kiniski many times.

Dory Funk Jr. defeated him for the world title, and I saw Dory, Jack Brisco, Terry Funk, and Harley Race was the world champion when I started watching wrestling.

And of course, I saw Ric Flair as well.

So I saw...

Ah, I c- I can guess which one might may not have, have been there yet because he's a very important person to the town of Atlanta.

We're talking about, well, Gordon Solie welcoming out the mayor of Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Andrew Young, as well as Jerry Brisco joining for a special presentation.

Jerry randomly named vice president of Georgia Championship Wrestling.

Now, we know he had a stock in the company, but how peculiar was this? Jerry Brisco just randomly showed up, "Yeah, I'm, I'm semi-retired now and I'm gonna be vice president of Georgia."

I was very confused at the time.

Mr. McMahon.

Here he talks, uh, creating new jobs and, uh, how hard it is to find a job.

Boy, the way sometimes [laughs] the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Well, it was a very, uh, detailed show.

You had, uh, uh, Larry Lane, Ted DiBiase, George Shire, uh, Jerry Brisco.

I mean, what, what more could we ask for? All, all for free.

It's great.

Bill Watts saw it early on.

Even when he was a partner in Georgia, he saw it.

Jack and Jerry Brisco saw it.

Uh, they couldn't get Jim Barnett on the page to, to do anything about it.

I would say Jay Tarsus was back that week as Jack Briscoe.

We get Gene Kiniski, Jack Brisco, Dory Funk, Harley Race, Terry Funk, which shocked me.

I did not remember Terry Funk-

Well-

I mean, Jack, you have Jack, which obviously Jerry is involved with the whole process at this point.

But I mean, Jack so much, was a much bigger wrestling star than Jerry.

So to have Jack Brisco be there, both Funks was really cool.

And then Lou Thesz too.

Just for Dusty Rhodes, staying on that top was not the right way to go.

1982, we talked two or three weeks ago, the incident where Roddy Piper was stabbed after having a match against Jack Brisco.

Now, thank God the stabbing incident was not very serious.

Even though the person arrested, I'm still trying to find out what ended up happening to him.

And I had talked about this actually, um, cheap plug, but I ended up on Wrestling Observer Radio with, uh, Dave Meltzer and Garrett.

And he had talked about the '70s match, about how it differed, and it was similar to Dory Funk and, uh, Jack Brisco.

But he was pushing back that there were definitely, like, things about it that were not like the '70s at all, but the, just the fight to be the best, that's what kind of would, was tied to the, the Funk-Brisco match.

And I don't think people are talking enough about the fact they never left outside the ring.
