But what got me is, in this last bit here, is Aaric spoke to his dragon the way that I bet Jack spoke to his.

And the way that Jack just took over was so overpowering.

Aaric spoke first, and he was calling out to his dragon.

He's like, "I know you're somewhere.

I'm gonna find you." Like, that type of attitude is exactly how I imagine what Jack Barlowe was acting like on his Threshing Day.

On, on a side note about Aaric, Aaric is better Xaden-

And so therefore you can bond a dragon.

Um, and m- but the main reason I do think is it goes back to what Jack Barlowe said to Violet in Onyx Storm where he said, "Ask me why only initiates bleed."

There it is.

And so when we think about these more higher level venin and that we know that they have infiltrated, um, Basgaith, I think that them bleeding is a sign for the dragons to be like, "Oh, okay, I know that you are some- at least somewhat trust- trustworthy here," you know? So even though like of course they could look into their minds as well and whatnot, but I think that's a little extra thing about tying into the venin because that does not feel like an accident that that was shared by Jack Barlowe, and we see-

... somebody bleed sometimes way more like Mira or just like a little prick of their finger.

Is there a POV you expected to see that did not appear in the book? So this is obviously before Rebecca had teased a- really all of the POVs.

Yeah.

Sgaeyl clearly has her own motivations and goals that are, quote unquote, "good," and she wouldn't have bonded Xaden if he was actually evil.

For example, I don't think Sgaeyl would've ever bonded a Jack Barlowe type, even though he was truly ruthless and vicious, but there's a difference-
