Jack Albertson

I thought it was British.

I thought they were all British, the actual Jack Albertson.

I know he was American.

Maybe I'm wrong.

So I'm doing it Thursday.

So you guys are getting this.

Yeah, maybe you'll get it Friday.

I don't know.

He reaches out to a producing team who produced All in the Family under Lear.

Nichols, Ross, and West, these three writers who were writers on All in the Family, then later on created The Jeffersons.

When that spun off and said, I want you guys to be in charge of this show.

I want you to do Three's Company.

So what's number two?

My number two is Grandpa Joe from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, 1971, played by Jack Albertson.

I think the original Charlie and the Chocolate Factory used to be on TV all the time growing up.

And I think just watching Grandpa Joe's interaction with Charlie and just how he was and his spirit amongst his health concerns and how he treated everyone and what he bestows upon Charlie and helps make him Charlie the person who he is.

Wilder, obviously, was one of them.

And the other one was Jack Albertson, who played Grandpa Joe.

You know, the guy who stayed in bed for like 20 years with whatever the reason actually was, but then miraculously was able to get up and start dancing when it was time to go to a chocolate factory.

Ha ha.

Jeff Bennett, also very prolific.

I know I'll let you get into that, but he did Jack Albertson justice as well.

I thought that sounded pretty similar, like on the same line.

Yeah.

of Jack Albertson from the original.

That's cool.

And he was the voice of Johnny Bravo.

Stella Stevens, best known for her big jugs.

And Jack Albertson, best known for being the Grandpa Joe in Willy Wonka.

Did you see this in the theater?

Not in the theater, no, but I was one or zero.

Okay.

Starring Gene Wilder, Jack Albertson.

Jack Albertson is Grandad Joe.

Yeah.

He also does the voice of Amos in Fox and the Hound.
