My first draft pick is gonna be from the Jabba's Palace category.

This is Malakili, who is better known as the Rancor Keeper.

But he was already thinking modularly in the sense of it's like, yeah, like six, six and a half minute shorts.

And each episode would have one that is, I think initially it was supposed to be one on the Death Star, one in Jabba's Palace, one in Dex's Diner.

Over time, we expanded that to be like one that's with the Empire, one that's somewhere on Tatooine, one that's somewhere on Coruscant.

Yeah, yeah.

That was in the original pitch.

I think it was also like the big Gamorrean Guard and small Jawa, Bob and J9.

They were in the original pitch, which again, it was like, who's like, just like the kind of honeymooner working schlubs of Jabba's palace.

And then Dex's was a little clearer because we were just pulling like, okay, here are the people from the movie.

Right, yeah.

I think that's what I was missing in the first act with all the stuff in Jabba's palace.

And knowing that we're missing out on stuff that could have been happening with Vader.

Yeah, the space battle has one of my favorite all-time visuals in Star Wars.

I hate that music number.

I always fast-forward through it, which really drove me nuts this time because I didn't because I was going to review the whole movie.

But I hate that music number in Jabba's Palace.

And it's not really – I don't know.

Yeah, until the last-

You know, Tales From Talpa's Palace

... until the very last pa- or I guess the last two pages, it's 100% standalone.

Do you remember Jabba's Palace? Yes.

Do you remember the bug, the spider that had the brain? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

If you were to go back to the 60s, the 70s, the 80s, for the most part anyway, it's very difficult to make a movie, a theatrically releasable movie on a very small budget because the technology you needed was just out of reach of most people.
