You have a sermon on that, and I appreciate the fact that you go straight through the Scripture and you don't dodge different sections just because they're difficult.

Well, you know, J. Vernon McGee told me something years ago.

He said, it's like when you go to college and you say, I want to major in this area.

discipline they say okay you got to take these classes you may not like to take those classes others may be more interesting to you than other classes but you have to take them all if you want to get a degree and the bible gives you everything on god's heart and and he didn't say you can skip a part so we take the whole scripture we go from genesis to revelation now we do that on our midweek service sunday morning i'll preach through a book of the bible then i'll do a series then i'll go do a book then i'll do a different series So I'll mix it up, but it is our Wednesday night that we have gone through and preached through the entire Bible about three, almost four times.

No, there's a condition attached to that.

And, you know, I like to... bring things, as Dr. J. Vernon McGee used to say, I like to put things in shoe leather and bring it down where the rubber meets the road.

We as human beings, we have conditions in our relationships with family, friends, relatives, and concerns.

You know, if you invite someone to your home, this is something simple, but you just say, please remove your shoes.

Have you been with me so long and yet you have not come to know me? And so I think Jesus wants us to know him and know his ways.

And then the Apostle Paul in Philippians 3, when he said that I may know him, I just heard recently, and I need to study this, but that Paul had known the Lord for years when he penned that, that I may know.

He said, I still have so much more to know about you because God is great.

omniscient, omnipresent.

I can answer that in one broad stroke that I was not a believer until I was 19.

So, you know, at that point I wanted to be, you know, the next Paul McCartney.

So I was playing in a band and by then music was the main thing in my life, which then carried over into my life with the Lord.

Then I went through a four year period where I wasn't, I didn't, wasn't really walking with God because I hadn't landed in a good church.
