And he saw those columns and he thought, "Gosh, this looks like a ruin.

This looks pretty cool." And so he snapped some pictures and sent them to Jim, the head of New City, and us and said, "What do you think?" [laughs] And of course, you know, Jim responded, of course, like, "Yes, see if the contractor, JE Dunn, thinks they're stable." A- and they were, and so the, they were left through testing.

And, and a lot of people think they are not stable, but they were, you know, when they were tested for lateral, 'cause they're not supporting anything.

They said, "Nope, we can leave them." And then I think whenever we look at adaptive reuse or old buildings, I think one of the most overlooked aspects is the windows.

And that is more an effort of, you know, getting the floor to an acceptable degree of levelness, connecting the spaces, and clearing out everything that's kind of in the way.

But beyond that, we didn't do much for the office spaces.

And for instance, one of the tenants, which was the contractor, JE Dunn, took, took the best space.

And they have just left everything raw.

Boy, that sounds like a legal term.

And JE Dunn is gonna be the builder, which is a local company, a great builder.

Everybody knows JE Dunn.

It's a three billion dollar project, and in their news release, they say that JE Dunn will partner in shaping the surrounding live, work, and play neighborhood across the broader 85-acre district, the largest sports-anchored downtown development in baseball.

This is going to be the biggest downtown development in Major League Baseball, and this Mortenson McCownGordon has been building apparently Major League parks and these entertainment areas around them for quite a while.

The project is a joint venture between the Royals and Hallmark Cards, two iconic brands in Kansas City, bringing Major League Baseball, according to the Royals, quote, "a state-of-the-art fan experience and the largest economic development project in Kansas City history." [lip smack] Okay.

I'd- I've never really heard of Mortenson McCownGordon, but they are the nation's most experienced Major League Baseball stadium builder, and now they're working with Kansas City's construction company, JE Dunn.

That's not the architects.

Mm-hmm.

Elsewhere on What's Trending, the Royals today announced they have selected Morton Seth and McCown Gordon, as well as JD Dunn, to build a $3 billion mixed use development, of course around that 34,000 seat ballpark.

So, uh, just a small item.

Like, nothing else was all that surprising, but now it's just official who's going to be involved in the construction portion of it.
