J. D. Tippit

So let's get to Captain Fritz's report.

Now, following the death of Lee Harvey Oswald and the announcement that there would be an official government inquiry, a commission, a blue ribbon commission, if you will, tasked to investigate not only the murder of President Kennedy, J.D. Tippit, and Oswald, um, he was encouraged or informed that he would need to, uh, to the best of his abilities and recollections, put together a report about the interrogations of Lee Harvey Oswald whilst in his custody.

So we do have Fritz's notes.

Uh, they came out back in the '90s, thanks to the ARRB.

With the same men as were in the first one, they were also numbered the same as the first.

At 6:37, we left the show-up room for Oswald to go back to Fritz's office for more questioning.

Shortly afterwards, Fritz, Justice of the Peace David Johnston, uh, and Assistant DA Bill Alexander came to Captain Fritz's office and Fritz signed the, uh, official declaration of the, uh, charges, uh, for the murder of Officer Tippit.

So there's more, but you basically get the gist of it.

He's seen by a man na- named Ed Hoffman, who gives a perfect description, then he's seen by four other witnesses.

He's also involved in the shooting of J.D. Tippit, the officer who gets killed afterwards.

Tippit was shot by two people, not one.

The other Oswald impersonator who shot Tippit was, uh, Kerry Thornley.

But when you dig into the-

Do you think Tippit looked like JFK?

I mean, he might have.

I don't think it's why he was killed or used as a body double or none of that stuff.
