Ivan Lins

I am more than willing to talk to you during this wonderful and chilly Friday morning.

Coming up, we have a track by Ivan Lins.

This is a beautiful one called Essa Maré.

Oops, not that, that.

We did that, é, in, in Rio.

The drummer was a veteran, João Cortes, who played with Ivan Lins, é, a lot with Menescal.

Renato.

Roberto Menescal is on the record, but he's not on that song.

He was on a, a, a...

He did a compilation for a producer, a keyboard player named Jason Miles, for the music of Ivan Lins, who's a Brazilian, great Brazilian composer.

And, um, Michael was called in to play, you know, a short solo on this song called, um, She Walks This Earth, which has Sting on the vocals, Joel.

Um-

And in some cases, I did get to meet those composers.

And actually, in our last two albums, Edu Lobo and Ivan Lins, we were able to get the albums to them.

And they listened to it and they both loved it.

And they wrote us this love letter.
