So we'd have bands that would play the student union and there'd be a small team of students who would support the touring road crew for bands getting in ahead of gigs and we'd kind of be ushers or stewards for the gigs and for selling tickets and sort of take our turns to DJ in the Student Union.

And our events secretary at that time He went on to work as a talent scout for Go Discs after uni, but he definitely had some kind of connection to the music team at Tyne Tees who made the tune.

And so I think it was kind of through me getting involved in DJing and crewing bands in the student union that kind of... tipped me off that there was some kind of connection.

I can't remember what the first one that I went along to was, but that might have been through a fan club thing.

I've said all along that What we want to see as fans is progress.
