And I've said before, but it's true, I started off making World in Action for Granada Television, but I've tried always to make films about the world in action, and The Uprising is no different.

We ought to have an intuitive appreciation for these magical little strands, like the recurring Goldie, the bumbling Mercher, or even my Polish friend, who were wound up into Sherlockian skeins and then woven into a fresh mantle that we are all pleased to share.
