It's Raining Men

Zora Armstead passed away in 2004 at the age of 62 from heart failure.

She achieved global dance music stardom as being one half of the group The Weather Girls, famous for singing their hit It's Raining Men, Hallelujah.

The iconic Mr. Norman Whitfield passed away in 2008 at the age of 68 due to heart and kidney failure due to diabetes.

He was a legendary Grammy Award-winning Motown producer and songwriter who co-wrote era-defining hits like I Heard It Through the Grapevine, and he also helped to pioneer the psychedelic soul sound of the Motown artists like The Temptations back in the late 60s, early 70s.

Thomas Lindberg passed away in 2025 at the age of 52 from complications related to his ongoing treatment of oral cancer.

And, uh, some music history for all of you today.

Turning 44 years old today, It's Raining Men by The Weather Girls, uh, premiered today in 1982.

And some music with a slightly different tone, Nirvana released their breakout single, Smells Like Teen Spirit, on this day in history in 1991.

So Smells Like Teen Spirit officially 35 years old today, uh, wild to believe.

Before we go into it, we are gonna quote the Wiki for the obvious things.

Off with his shirt is, of course, number one, a reference to Alice in Wonderland, Queen of Hearts, off with his head, and the song, style-wise, is It's Raining Men from the Weather Girls.
